Control your Pc from your IPhone or Ipod Touch

Ok, so this blog post will tell you how to control your Pc, im not sure if you can do this with mac i will have to post that in a later date. So any way this is how you control your Pc from your IPhone or Ipod touch.

Step one

Go to this link>And click on the 8th one down, start counting after the ads by google. the url start with :www.ewe-software                           

Step two

When the page loads, go the section where it says:Befree 4 iPhone is freeware. You are able to use the program for an unlimited time period.then click on the link in bold. Then download and install the file.    

Step three

Click on where it says " for changing the configuration, click on this button"then what you need to do is click on the button the side of this bit of text.Then you need to fill in a custom password, this could be anything at all. Leave the display settings as they are. Click the network tab,if you select only lan on the drop down setting, this means your can only access your computer in your internet area. Say you was out and about at a friends house or something you could not access your computer. So choose which is best for you.

Still in the Networking tab, input a custom 5 digit number, this will be your port number that you will need to input when you try to access your computer from your device. Then click the tick icon, then back to the home screen they should be a set of numbers. your IP address. you need this so you can input this into your Iphone or Ipod touch.

Finished

Ok, so get your device, weather this is your IPhone or Touch, open up the safari Web Browser, and in the address bar input your IP address Befree has given you. After you have done this it should ask you to input your password you set on the setup page. So input your password and BAM! you should be able to see your Pc screen on your IPhone or Touch screen.

Which would you most like to carry around to work with you. i no which one i would like to. It is amazing to look back into the past to see how much Computers have changed. I think i have seen a picture of the first hard drive ever made. I will try and find it and post it. So anyway, how laptops have changed, in the past your couldn't, well couldn't really do anything, now your can contact any one in the world where ever they are, email, web browsing, imagine what it would of been like if the had all that in the 18th century, today's tech would be absolutely outstanding. I cant wait to see what technology will be like in about 15-20years. But most of all, what will Technology be like in 100 years. i don't think anyone can prodict what that will be like. Can you? any ideas?

Lets start 2009 with a fresh new start, for you and your computer! I don't no if your like this but i HATE it when my computer runs slow, i just cant stand it. So there is a lot of things that can speed the performance of your Pc. So here is a couple of things your can do to clean up your computer and speed it up a little!

Disk clean up.

First thing you can do is do a disk cleanup. Disk cleanup cleans up all the unnecessary files on your computer. That your don't need or should't be there. To perform a disk cleanup your need to go to:  Start menu>  Accessories>  System Tools> Disk Cleanup> One you have selected Disk Cleanup, it will ask you to select the drive you want to clean, i always clean both, More memory! Then it will process all the files that need to be cleaned up. After that has finished it will tell you how much memory will be gained if you clean up the files. Click ok and your done.

Disk Defragment.

Disk Defragment is a is a program that is  designed to increase access speed by rearranging files  stored on a disk to occupy contiguous storage locations, a technique commonly known as defragmenting . The purpose is to optimize the time it takes to read and write files to/from the disk by minimizing head travel time and maximizing the transfer rate. As of Vista, Disk Defragmenter is also used to improve system startup times. But if i am honest. Do not use the Windows Disk Defragment program. I do not recoment it. It is a bit slow and just boring to be honest! The program i use is called Smart Defrag. You can download it from here>Download Now .This program Defrags your Pc, but it Defrags it in the background. Unlike Windows Disk Defragment, you can not access your Pc while Disk Defragment is running. Which sucks a lot. But Smart Defrag runs in the background. You can just use you Pc just like your didn't even no it was Defragmenting your system.

Empty your recycling bin weekly.

Another good way to gain memory and speed up your Pc is to empty your recycling bin weekly. Because they are just unnecessary files that take up space and well just not needed to be honest. 

A awesome program to help you out

There is a program that your can download called Advanced System Care. Basically what this program does is. Check your Pc for virus's,problems and known issues, and just fixes it like A,B,C. Its a really handy program to have, i would suggest to run the scan to check for problems about once a week just to speed it up and check for viruses and issues. Microsoft starts testing Office 14

Microsoft said Tuesday that it has begun early outside testing of some of the server products that will make up the next version of Microsoft Office.

The software maker did not offer details or say when a test version of the software will be available  , code-named Office 14, will be made more broadly available for you to try at some later date.

They say a Beta will be released soon. How exciting ! haha. Will you try it out if your a windows user?

YouTube launches TV-friendly site for consoles

Your no when your trying to watch Youtube videos on your game console, if its PS3 or Nintendo WII you will now see a HUGE difference when you visit the site. the Google property has just released an a fantastic and easier way to view the Youtube videos you want to watch. So by visiting Youtube.com/TV in your Opera or PS3 browser, you get this new layout that lets you browse and search through videos. Videos can be set to go full-screen by default, including large, easy to click on icons for your console. Also new,There's also an option to auto play the next video in a playlist or from search results after the current video has ended.
The new special TV site can not be accessed throughgh  your PC, unless you use an add on called User Agent Switcher. This add on tricks YouTube into thinking your on a game console.

IWobble, Apple approved it!!

If your remember the app IBoob. Then you will absolutely adore this app. IBoob let you shake a pair of digital boobs around on the screen of you iphone, What IWobble does is let you shake a pair of REAL Boobs around on your iphone. All you have to do is place a point on where the women's breasts are, then press ok, then shake your phone around and the woman’s breasts wobble. I think that app is awesome, but the bit i don't understand is that Apple declined the app IBoob because it was unacceptable as a Iphone app. But after all the views on the IBoob demo on YouTube Apple thought maybe they could be something in the IBoob app. But a group of Aussies took the app to the next level with IWobble. So why did they except IWobble but declined IBoob? Did they see a lot of profit in this app?

TV Iphone remote

TiVoRemote is the first network based TV remote control program for the iPhone. You can use the iPhone's full QWERTY keyboard to search for the TV show that you want to watch. The app basically works like a regular TV remote. Change channel, change the volume, and turn off the TV. Could make a pretty funny joke. Just sit there turning up the volume or changing channel what will start to frustrate a lot of people.

The apps appearance isn't the flashiest. It just looks pretty basic really. They could of livened up the colour or something.

But since it's priced at a $1, So you cant go wrong their. Its differently worth to buy, for that price anyway.

What's going on with my Guitar Hero?

I got Guitar Hero World Tour for Christmas, and my problem is, you no the sound it makes when you miss a note. well it makes that sound and says I've missed a note when there isn't a note there and i am not even strumming. It really get on my nerves when I'm online or in career mode and I'm on like a massive combo and it says i missed a note but THERES NOT EVEN A NOTE THERE AND IM NOT EVEN STRUMMING!!!!! Does anyone's else Guitar Hero do this?

'Mew Mew Tower maybe the funniest game ever for the iphone

If you have played the game topple, or jenga on the Iphone/Ipod touch. Then this app is defiantly for you. The aim of the game, stack some hand drawn cats on top of each other without the tower falling. Games don't get much simpler than that. Using your finger, just simply pulling a cat from a hot air balloon, then placing it on top your cat tower, then just reaching from the balloon for a new cat. my record is 17 cats in one tower. The game has some funny sound effects and the hand drawn cats are just funny to look at.

Mew Mew Tower is the latest cat game to reach the ITunes  app store. The price of the app is $1.70. But i must warn you if you do purchase this game. It is highly addictive, and hard to put your iphone/Ipod touch down. Trust me , i know.

Windows 7 Removed from my Pc

And its gone, Windows 7 is removed from my Pc, i thought I've  had enough of it, it was slow, freezing all the time and just crap. So i thought ill go back to vista. But keep the Windows 7 partition on my Pc. But today i just thought i am not going to use it again so screw it. I deleted it. So all this time looking forward to Windows 7, and now I'm so happy I've deleted it. On my pc windows 7 was a disappointment . It will be probably have a better performance on other laptops/ Pc.

Going back to Vista

I have been running Windows 7 Beta for about 4 days now something like that, and to be honest i think its great but the beta is just running slow on my Pc, its restarting its freezing its not opening files its just a shambles really. So i am going to go back to running good old Vista. I'm not sure if I'm  going to delete the partition for Windows 7 though. I will have to think about that one. How is windows 7 running for you?

Flip Video Camcorder

The Flip Video Camcorder is the first born of the Flip Video Camcorder generation. It has been a massive seller on the Internet shopping site www.amazon.com. The first time i saw the flip cam i thought it was a mobile phone. I never thought that it would be a video camera, i mean ,have you seen how small it is a for a video camcorder. Because of the success of the Flip camera, the company flip made three more members of the flip family, the Flip Ultra and then came the Flip Mino, and only recently have they brought out the Flip Mino HD. The Flip video is a great little "handy" device. Unlike a normally sized video camcorder, you can slip it into your back pocket.. You can buy it in two different colors, black or white. Not like the Flip Ultra that comes in a five different colors. You can record a huge 60 minutes of footage on it. That’s the default recording time on any Flip camera. The cameras retail price is $129.99. The cheapest of the family.

My only advice

The only thing i would say is from my personal experience, i regret getting it in the color white. As after a while it does get a little dirty and the color starts to fade. So i regret not getting it in black. So I recommend to get it in the black.

Chrome for Mac OS X & Linux users

Last Friday Google said that it hopes to release Chrome for Mac OS X and Linux sometime in the middle of this year, and it released a new version Wednesday that answers all the question users and asked for. Extensions.

Google has high hopes for Chrome-in particular, the Internet giant wants it to have better performance, so browsing the Web is faster and so also web-based applications are more powerful. Now Google is adding some missing pieces that Chrome needs in order to attain more users..

Brian Rakowski, Chrome's product manager, said "the company wants to release Chrome for Mac and Linux before the first half of 2009 is up".

There aim is to be the number one web browser in the world, and they say that making chrome for Mac and linux users.That will help them alot.

But will Mac and linux user switch to Chrome. Mac users will probably be using Safari and must Linux users that i no use Firefox. So will they switch to the brand new chrome?

How to remove Linux and the Grub loader

I downloaded Linux to see what all the fuss was about. So i downloaded it and then installed it. But for some reason it couldn't  find my wireless internet so i couldn't use it. But i didn't really no how to uninstall it. I heard about removing a partition but i couldn't find how to delete it. So it was just sitting there on my computer. I was running low on memory so i had to remove it, and the grub loader was really pissing me of . So something had to be done here.
One of my geeky computer friends told me how to do it but i wasn't sure because i have heard you can delete vista or something stupid like that. But he was confident that this was the way to do it. So i thought if he has done it then it will work, So i removed the partition and restarted my computer, but it wont load vista it just came up with Grub error 22. So i was really crapping my pants right now. It was about 11.30pm at this point so i couldn't do anything with it to the morning.. So i went to sleep thinking that my computer was wrecked and broken. So in the morning i thought if i install Linux again it should repair the grub loader. But instead i downloaded a Vista recovery disk. So i ran the vista recovery disk, and repaired vista for me.
So how do delete Ubuntu:
first go into control panel, then Administrative tools, the click computer management.
then click on Disk management on the left hand sidebar. Then delete the Linux partition Don't delete the driver C: or D: because there are the Vista Partitions. Then download this file if you don't have a Vista recovery disk. http://www.pcworld.com/downloads/file/fid,71039/description.html
Then burn it onto a disk. Then restart you computer and insert the Vista recovery disk. Then input your language and keyboard format.,And then click on repair your computer. Then click on Command prompt and insert
:Bootrec.exe /FixMbr make sure you put a space between the exe. /FixMbr
Then it should say operation completed or something like that.,And you are done.
and the grub loader will be gone as well.

Super Smash Brothers might not work on your WII

If you are thinking of super smash bros just wait a minute. Earlier today a mate of mine came round so we could go on super smash bros on the WII. But when i entered the game it just came up saying "the disk could not be read" so i took it out and gave it a quick clean, but still i didn't work, then i updated me wii but i still came up saying"the disk could not be read". But i no the problem why it will not play and this is why:
Super Smash Bros Brawl utilizes a double-layer disc which has a large memory capacity. A very small percentage of Wii consoles may have trouble consistently reading data off this large capacity disc if there is some contamination on the lens of the disc drive. Nintendo has specialized cleaning equipment that can resolve this problem. (Please do NOT attempt to clean the lens yourself, as you may damage the system.)
So basically what you need to do is take you WII in for repair. But Nintendo offers a free service to repair you WII for free so that's good news. But this only happens on a small percentage if WII's.

Installing Windows 7 so you duel boot it

Yep so your a windows user. love vista, but you want to try the new upgrade Windows 7.But don't want to complete wipe out your beloved vista. These steps should help you out. So you get to duel boot windows 7 and windows vista!
First download it from here>http://download.microsoft.com/download/6/3/3/633118BD-6C3D-45A4-B985-F0FDFFE1B021/EN/7000.0.081212-1400_client_en-us_Ultimate-GB1CULXFRE_EN_DVD.ISO
Then burn the image to a DVD. its a 3.2GB file so it has to be a DVD. about a 4gb one.
then after you have burned it what you want to do is right click on computer on the vista start menu/xp.
then click on manage. then on the left hand menu click disk management. then on the disk you are wanting to shrink. right click on it and click shrink. then input the amount you want to shrink it by. then they should be a drive that says unused or something.
then restart your computer. With the windows 7 disk still inside. On the restart it will say press any key to boot. so just press any key haha clue in the name i guess. Then it will start to load the windows files. Just be patient. After that has loaded it will come up with the Windows 7 install menu. so click install. then agree to all the terms and stuff it comes up with. then don't click Install!!!!! do not click INSTALL!! click custom install. This installs it to a partition. so you can duel boot it will Windows Vista. Then it will install it. this process took 40mins for me about that so just go of and do something for 40mins. in my case i went and played guitar hero haha.
And then you just have to fill in your time, and date and things like that really, and your have done. installed.

Once you have seen the amazing effects of Beryl you will defiantly want to download the software. but suppose you don't want all the bother of downloading and installing it. Well lucky for all windows users out there you can now install a program that make your windows feel and look just like Beryl. The program your need are Deskspace. Deskspace lets you run six desktops at the same time.The only problem is with Deskspace is that it is only a 14 day trial. so after 14 days you have to buy the program to carry on using it. But i suppose if you like it that much you would buy it. I have bought it,because i like it a lot.
